On the evening of August 5, 2008, at the invitation of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Youth Camp, the Chinese Orchestra of the High School Attached to Tsinghua University gave a performance for young people from all over the world at the "The Date of Youth - The 2008 Beijing Olympic Youth Camp Welcome Party"。

Under the direction of Mr. Hu Jun, the orchestra performed a number of festive folk music works such as Harvest Gongs and Drums and Celebration Overture, which won warm applause from young people from all over the world。After that, the drum solo "Dragon Jumping and Tiger Jumping" and the guzheng solo "Fishing Boat Singing Night" performed by the student Tan Ke Er of the orchestra also won praise。On August 12, the Chinese Orchestra of the High School Affiliated to Tsinghua University will also enter the youth camp to perform。
